Presentation title:
Transforming the Translation Environment – a Paradigm Shift in Productivity
Presentation description:
According to the CSA Language Services Market Report of 2016, machine translation enters every discussion. Clients and suppliers alike turn to MT to meet the classic triad of requirements for more volume, faster turnaround time, and lower cost. Big data and the IoT trend has driven the evolution of MT and we’ve seen moves towards deep learning technologies and neural networks to improve the quality and usability of MT output. In general the evolution of digital content drives the adoption of post-editing of MT (PEMT) and this has a major affect on the translation environment for professional as well as the occasional translator. This brief presentation will address how the shift from static MT to real-time, self-learning MT– „AdaptiveMT” affects this work place and how this in turn helps to address the increasing needs in translation across industries.
